Manifesto
Reading the soul of a place —
not with numbers, but with inference.
Location intelligence is usually a spreadsheet: per-capita income, average age, foot traffic. Poi Geo does it differently. It describes the area in a single paragraph; it points to what's missing, the anchor brand, the opportunity.
Process
An analysis in six steps.
- 01
Pick a point
Click anywhere on the map. Poi Geo analyses a 500-metre radius around that point — or you set the radius yourself.
- 02
Raw data is collected
POI data is pulled in parallel from three sources: OpenStreetMap, Foursquare and Google Places. Restaurants, cafés, shops, banks — the daily fabric of the area.
- 03
Anchor brands are detected
A combination of review count, rating and price tier — the 3-5 brands carrying the area's traffic. They are flagged as spillover targets.
- 04
Cultural DNA is extracted
Collected data is processed to condense the area's socio-economic character into a single paragraph: is it a historic centre, a gentrifying neighbourhood, or an industrial zone?
- 05
Sector recommendations and filters
The data model produces sector recommendations. The Sector Dam then applies hard rules — no luxury in a low-price tier, no brunch in industry — and only what passes is approved. Each suggestion goes through an additional verification pass.
- 06
Negative signals are flagged
Categories expected in the area but missing: pharmacy, bookshop, breakfast spot. What's absent — the opportunities — appears on its own card.
Honesty
Hallucination shield.
An AI suggestion alone is not enough. Poi Geo demands at least two supporting data points for every recommendation. The Sector Dam automatically rejects suggestions that clash with the context — and tells you why. The Pro plan adds an extra validation pass.
